Week 6: Wild Classroom
Wild Classroom is part of WWF (World Wildlife Fund) and has so many (FREE) resources to offer to enhance learning in classrooms.

There are so many ready to go lessons for various age groups. They come with teacher presentations, downloadable posters, and activities. Most even have a Spanish language version. I was thinking for bilingual programs, it would be great to have the resources side by side.
There are also some other fun tools including quizzes with Kahoot!, crafts and other hands-on activities, and even some fun quizzes!
The quizzes like "Find Your Inner Animal" could be a fun way to get students interested in the topic. (Apparently, I'm an orangutan, if you were wondering.) Unfortunately, they do require an email address to take the quizzes. Without a work around, that is not in compliance with privacy laws. This could be something you send home with students to do with parents after a lesson on polar bears or elephants though.
I can definitely see myself using some of these lessons with my upper elementary students. And the craft ideas seem fun; I always need some new activities for the library! I love the idea of introducing new information to my students and getting them to think about things in a new way. This will be on rotation in the fall!
